Speaking of Productivity
These days productivity is a trendy topic, which is both a blessing and a curse. The positive is that there is more concrete research and knowlege out there than ever before, but the negative is that there is a lot of false information out there. So many people are literally wasting tons time reading about and trying new ways to be productive and consuming what I like to call “productivity porn”.
We bring you the unfiltered facts, but we skip the trendy jargon and hype. Oh, and we add in a lot of relevant fun stories as examples, because people get bored easily and so do we!
Productivity in the Workplace
The workplace has changed dramatically, but old myths about how to get things done still persist.
Some “experts” claim the secret is to wake up at 5:00am to gain a few uninterrupted hours, others swear by colour coded task boards (and hydration), but the truth is that productivity is NOT a one-size-fits-all. We break down fact and fiction, and teach people how to find the right solutions for their personality, environment, and reality.
No busy text filled bullet slides.
Productivity when Working at Home
Are people more or less productive when they work from home? Unfortunately the research has shown that there is no easy answer to this. What we do know is that those who have a established a consistent routine based on their strengths and weaknesses are the most likely to succeed in this environment. What makes it tricky is that there is no routine that will work for everyone.
We will teach the participants how to develop their productivity profile and implement the habits that will serve them in the long run.
"What if you were always as productive as the day before a vacation?"
"I wish I had procrastinated and stayed on the couch surfing Facebook" said no one ever
"Because not everyone is going to wake up at 5:00am"
